Job summary

Cincinnatus LLC is seeking an Editorial, Deck & Document Designer to join a GenAI team and help build premier AI training materials. The role emphasizes real layout and typographic judgment across decks, editorial layouts and print production for high-impact projects.

The candidate will work in a W-2 employment setup with potential placement at a leading AI Lab, committing to 40 hours per week. Prior agency, studio or corporate communications experience is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of shipped presentation, editorial or document design for agency, studio, consultancy or commercial clients.
• Expert command of PowerPoint and browser-based slide tools, including master slides, templates and chart tooling such as think-cell; Keynote a plus.
• Expert command of Adobe InDesign for multi-page documents; Affinity Publisher acceptable if shipped.
• Fluency in Figma and Illustrator for brand systems, diagrams and vector charts.
• Print prepress ownership: bleed, trim, safe area, folds, dielines, imposition, Pantone and CMYK, press proofs, PDF/X exports.

Responsibilities

• Guide research teams to close knowledge gaps and improve AI model performance in presentation design, editorial layout, typography, information design and print production.
• Design challenging deck and document tasks from executive summaries to brand books and brochures; produce reference deliverables in editable source formats.
• Evaluate AI-generated presentations and infographics; provide clear, written feedback on grids, type hierarchy, chart accuracy, bleed, page setup and print color.
• Develop guidelines, rubrics and quality checks for layout and typography; include technical checks on slide and PDF files.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training data consistency and accuracy.
