Job summary

Cincinnatus LLC is seeking a Senior Motion Designer and Creative Technologist to join a leading AI lab's GenAI team. This full-time role centers on motion graphics, code-driven animation, and high-quality AI training data, with a 40-hour work week and a W-2 arrangement placed at a top AI lab in the USA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of shipped motion design work for agencies, motion studios, post houses, broadcast design teams or in-house brand teams.
• Expert After Effects skills including expressions, kinetic typography, 2.5D parallax and tracked composites, with Cinema 4D or Blender for 3D elements.
• Shipped code-driven motion in Remotion, HTML5 Canvas, SVG animation, Three.js or WebGL, GSAP, p5.js, TouchDesigner or Houdini.
• Working JavaScript or TypeScript, or Python, well enough to write and debug render/animation code.
• Fluency with editable source files and delivery formats: .aep, .mogrt, .c4d, .blend, Lottie .json, .riv, SVG, Git render scripts, ProRes and H.264 masters.
• Command-line FFmpeg for encoding, overlays, etc.
• Hands-on use of generative video tools like Runway, Luma, Midjourney; ability to generate comparison samples and judge results.
• Public portfolio or reel of shipped work, plus a public code sample that renders/animates video.
• Ability to engage reliably for 40 hours/week during weekdays.
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to explain creative decisions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Guide research teams to close knowledge gaps and improve AI model performance in motion design and code-driven video.
• Design challenging motion design tasks and produce reference deliverables in editable formats (After Effects, code-based animations).
• Evaluate AI-generated motion graphics and provide clear written feedback on timing, typography, safe areas and sync.
• Develop guidelines, rubrics and quality checks for motion design, including scripted checks on rendered output.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training data consistency and accuracy.
