Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a Senior Automation Test Lead to drive automated testing strategy and frameworks across multiple applications. You will mentor QA teams, collaborate with IT leadership, and promote GenAI-driven testing to accelerate delivery and improve quality.

Responsibilities include designing robust tests, managing test data, and expanding automation coverage while aligning with overall IT strategy.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience in Quality Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in leading Quality engineering teams
• Experience with Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python
• Experience with Playwright, Karate, Selenium, and other test tools
• Experience with DevOps tools: Sonar, Nexus, Jenkins, Git, etc.
• Knowledge of Agile Scrum/SAFE methodology and Jira/Rally
• Knowledge of AWS and/or GCP cloud tech

Responsibilities

• Define and execute Quality Engineering strategy and standards.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks.
• Lead hands-on automation efforts and mentor QA teams.
• Track quality metrics and drive defect reduction.
• Collaborate with vendors, IT leadership, and business units.
• Support DevOps and release activities and drive GenAI testing innovations.
• Improve test coverage and optimize automated test execution times.
• Analyze defects and improve testing processes across systems.
