Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong backend engineering to support enterprise Generative AI and agentic solutions. You will build scalable data infrastructure, backend services, and data pipelines that enable AI applications, agents, and MCP-based solutions, connecting enterprise data, APIs, tools, and services.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in data/backend engineering, Python and SQL expertise, and hands-on experience with Spark, Airflow, AWS, and Redshift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, IS, or related field.
• 5+ years in data engineering, backend engineering, or related role.
• Strong Python and SQL proficiency.
• Experience designing scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Hands-on with Spark, Airflow, Argo; AWS and Redshift experience.
• Knowledge of data modeling, warehousing, and distributed processing.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, testing, and production support.
• GenAI / AI Engineering experience: MCP, AI agents, LLM integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and backend services for Generative AI applications.
• Develop backend APIs and integrations connecting AI agents with enterprise systems.
• Build MCP servers and integrations to securely access tools and data.
• Support AI agents and workflows, including orchestration and data access.
• Ensure secure integrations with authentication, authorization and governance.
• Build ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Develop Python-based backend components for production AI apps.
• Collaborate with ML/LLM engineers and product teams to productionize solutions.
