Job summary

Cincinnatus LLC is seeking a Cloud and DevOps Engineer to support an AI lab's GenAI team. You will operate Kubernetes clusters, integrate AWS services, and manage IaC pipelines to enable scalable model training and inference.

This is a 40-hour/week W-2 role placed at a leading AI lab. You will collaborate with researchers and engineers to diagnose cluster issues, optimize cloud architectures, and contribute to robust CI/CD workflows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, site reliability, or platform engineering at a recognized organization.
• Hands-on production experience operating Kubernetes, including diagnosing and repairing cluster failures.
• Production experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform and/or AWS CDK).
• Direct experience integrating AWS services in production (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB).
• Experience building and owning CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to commit to at least 40 hours/week during weekdays.
• Strong written communication and ability to explain complex technical decisions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Guide research and engineering teams to close knowledge gaps and improve AI model performance in cloud infrastructure and IaC topics.
• Design tasks and write solutions for cluster diagnosis, AWS service integration, and infrastructure automation problems.
• Evaluate infrastructure tasks and provide clear technical feedback.
• Develop guidelines and rubrics to assess cluster failure diagnosis, IaC design quality, and CI/CD reasoning.
• Collaborate with SMEs to ensure training data accuracy.
