Job summary

Cincinnatus LLC, the employer of record, seeks a Cloud and DevOps Engineer to join a leading AI lab's GenAI team in New York, contributing to foundational AI models and scalable training/inference infrastructure. This is a full-time W-2 position with potential placement at an AI lab and requires 40 hours per week.

The role emphasizes hands-on Kubernetes operations, Terraform and AWS CDK IaC, Lambda/API Gateway/DynamoDB service use, and robust CI/CD pipelines, with strong communication to guide

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional cloud infra/DevOps experience
• Hands-on Kubernetes, including cluster diagnosis and repair
• Production experience with IaC (Terraform and/or AWS CDK)
• Experience integrating AWS services in production (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB)
• Experience building and owning CI/CD pipelines
• Clear career progression and reliability for 40 hrs/week
• Strong written communication to explain complex decisions

Responsibilities

• Guide research and engineering teams to improve AI model performance in cloud infrastructure
• Design tasks and write solutions for cluster diagnosis and IaC automation problems
• Evaluate infrastructure tasks and provide clear technical feedback
• Develop rubrics to assess cluster failure diagnosis and CI/CD quality
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training data accuracy
