Amazon Ads is seeking an Applied Scientist for the SPB Off-Search team in New York to advance Generative AI and Large Language Models, transforming ad retrieval, allocation, and whole-page relevance. You will build novel generative models using Amazon data to personalize customer journeys at scale.

Lead and mentor a small team of scientists and engineers, contribute to production-ready ML systems, and stay ahead of industry trends in GenAI and RAG, delivering impactful advertising experiences

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree with 4+ years of CS/CE/ML or related field experience.
• 3+ years of building models for business applications.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Strong foundation in GenAI, LLMs, ML, DL, probabilistic modeling, or optimization.
• Experience deploying models in real-world production environments.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to design and development of GenAI, deep learning, multi-objective optimization and/or reinforcement learning solutions for ad retrieval, auctions, and page relevance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with scientists, engineers and PMs to deliver scalable production-ready science.
• Stay abreast of GenAI/LLMs industry trends and bring innovative concepts to the org.
• Enhance team's rigor by implementing best-in-class algorithms and infrastructure for rapid experimentation and scaling.
• Mentor and grow junior scientists and engineers to maintain a high-performing team.
