Job summary

Amazon Ads is hiring a software engineer to build AI-powered bidding controls and recommendation systems for millions of advertisers on Amazon. You will develop agentic architectures, model fine-tuning infrastructure, and experimentation platforms that impact how advertisers create, grow, and manage their business.

The Advertiser Controls team collaborates with product managers, scientists, and engineers to translate business problems into scalable AI solutions, mentor teammates, and deliver

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience for systems.
• 1+ years of software development or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale distributed software applications and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• Experience programming with at least one software language.
• Strong fluency in Generative AI, including LLMs, model fine tuning, prompt engineering, RLHF, RAG, and AI trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop agentic platform components using GenAI/ML to deliver low-latency advertiser experiences.
• Build scalable systems processing millions of data points with cost efficiency.
• Develop conversational AI and natural language interactions for bidding guidance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI-driven solutions across the ad ecosystem.
• Identify and fix operational issues with permanent fixes; improve tooling and processes.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code with clear documentation.
• Provide code reviews, mentor engineers, and train teammates on system architecture and operations.
