Caterpillar is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to Generative AI initiatives. You will build AI-powered assistants, AI-infused pipelines, tooling, and services, including edge deployments and production-ready analytics workflows.

You will partner with data scientists, apply prompt engineering, and deploy with FastAPI on AWS. Strong communication and cross-functional teamwork are essential in a Fortune 100 environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience and solid OOP knowledge.
• 3+ years designing and developing software using Python and/or Go.
• Nice to have frontend integration experience.
• Experience with Gen AI system architectures and multi-agent concepts.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy Gen AI solutions using Python/Go and OOP.
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Deploy on AWS using CloudFormation.
• Work with LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, and Crew.ai.
• Apply LLM knowledge and prompt engineering concepts.
• Develop services with FastAPI on AWS and edge devices.
• Collaborate with data scientists to productionize analytics pipelines.
