Job summary

Cognizant seeks a Gen AI Architect to design and lead agentic AI solutions that automate and modernize our data engineering platform. You will craft autonomous agents that orchestrate pipelines, monitor quality, and optimize workflows with minimal human intervention.

Collaborate with data teams to define architecture standards for LLM integration, RAG, and tool calling, and guide pilots from proof-of-concept to production while mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software/architecture roles.
• 2+ years hands-on agentic AI / LLM-based systems.
• Conversant with data pipelines, ETL/ELT, orchestration and data quality frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architecture for multi-agent systems to automate data engineering tasks.
• Define agent design patterns: planning/reasoning loops, tool-use frameworks, memory/state management.
• Establish architecture standards for LLM integration, prompt management, and RAG within data workflows.
• Lead technical design reviews, POCs, and pilot-to-production transitions for agentic solutions.
• Mentor engineering teams on agentic design principles and best practices.
