Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a Gel Coat Technician to apply gel coat to production hull and deck molds using hand-operated spray equipment. This role emphasizes color accuracy, finish quality, and adherence to production schedules in a demanding workshop environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, demonstrate a strong safety mindset, and be able to work in conditions of heat, dust, and chemical exposure typical of marine production settings.

Qualifications

• Must follow all safety standards and procedures.
• Positive attitude, high dependability, and promotion of good morale.
• Must adhere to all quality standards and adhere to new standards as processes evolve.
• Pass a pulmonary function test and abide by a respiratory protection program to wear a respirator.

Responsibilities

• Operates spray gun to apply gel coat to molds according to production schedule, ensuring color, finish and thickness are adhered to.
• Pulls tape on deck or hull molds.
• Maintains and cleans test gel coating equipment to ensure it operates as required.
• Maintains a clean and environmentally safe work area.
• Continued awareness and protective actions regarding all health, safety and chemical protocols and processes.
• All other duties as assigned.
