Job summary

Dewberry Engineers Incorporated in Orlando, FL seeks a GEC Project Manager to lead major transportation programs from planning through construction, delivering pragmatic solutions and advancing the agency's legacy of success.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk; coordinate with CFX staff and leaders; provide technical guidance to consultants; and help develop accurate cost estimates while prioritizing multiple projects and maintaining quality results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience managing FDOT or similar public agency projects.
• Florida PE license, or ability to obtain one within 6 months.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong project/program management background, preferably in Florida.
• Ability to prioritize and efficiently manage multiple projects and assignments.
• Attention to detail and the ability to independently deliver results with general direction.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage all aspects of major limited-access transportation projects, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder coordination.
• Collaborate and build strong working relationships with staff from across the CFX organization.
• Coordinate with CFX Project Managers and Leadership for status updates.
• Provide timely technical guidance to Consultants to maintain fast-paced project delivery schedules.
• Manage submittals and reviews of project deliverables.
• Contribute to the development of accurate project construction cost estimates.
• Work with Dewberry CFX GEC Team to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
• Assist in work plan development and analysis of system assets as needed.

GEC Project Manager – Orlando, FL

Dewberry is seeking a GEC Project Manager in our Orlando, FL office to serve on our General Engineering Consultant contract with the Central Florida Expressway (CFX). This role provides an opportunity to work directly with an industry‑leading client and lead signature Central Florida transportation projects throughout their lifecycles from planning through construction. You will help execute pragmatic solutions and contribute to the agency's legacy of success and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage all aspects of major limited‑access transportation projects, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder coordination
• Collaborate and build strong working relationships with staff from across the CFX organization
• Coordinate closely with and provide project status updates to CFX Project Managers and Leadership
• Provide timely technical guidance to Consultants in order to maintain fast‑paced project delivery schedules
• Manage submittals and reviews of project deliverables
• Contribute to the development of accurate project construction cost estimates
• Work closely with other members of the Dewberry CFX GEC Team to ensure projects and programs are delivered successfully
• Perform a variety of other Program Management responsibilities as needed/assigned, such as assisting in work plan development, performing analysis of system assets, leading small design projects, refining management processes/systems, etc.
