Job summary

Tribonet in Valley, Alabama is seeking a Geartrain Design Engineer focused on the design and analysis of geartrain components. You will be responsible for modeling, testing, and quality troubleshooting of components.

The ideal candidate has experience in rotating machinery design, strong knowledge in mechanics, and proficiency in CAD software. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $170,000 to $235,000 per year depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Prior geartrain design and analysis experience from concept through production ramp.
• Strong fundamental knowledge of statics, dynamics, and mechanics of materials.
• Experience with finite element analysis for evaluating stress, strain, and modal response.

Responsibilities

• Design geartrain components including shafts, devices, and clutches.
• Evaluate geartrain noise, efficiency, and durability.
• Perform statistical analysis for component stack-up.
