Job summary

The Gearbox Assembly Supervisor at NORD Gear Corporation leads the assembly of gearboxes, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time production. You will supervise teams, develop JIs, and drive Lean improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Work schedule features a 4-day workweek with a 3-day weekend and a night shift from 2:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. You will coordinate with Production Scheduling, Customer Logistics, and Inventory to maintain product flow and meet department goals.

Qualifications

• Experience leading in a manufacturing/production setting.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with Lean concepts (5S, Kaizen, continuous improvement).

Responsibilities

• Maintain departmental safety and cleanliness; participate in Safety Committee and incident alerts.
• Lead quality analysis and root-cause investigations; participate in quality meetings and respond to QNs on time.
• Collaborate with QA and parent company to enable customer-focused continuous improvement; conduct quality audits.
