West Virginia K-12 Jobs in Nicholas County is seeking a Tutor for grant-funded programs to provide enrichment and tutoring in specific subjects in an extended year setting.
This contract/hourly role supports students off-cycle through targeted interventions and collaboration with teachers. The position requires a valid teaching certificate and background checks, with 3–5 hours per week, up to 120 total hours, and duties assigned by building principals and program directors.
Salary/Terms: $25.00 per hour. 3-5 hours per week for up to 120 total hours.

Evaluation: Evaluations conducted as defined in West Virginia Board of Education Policy5310and NCBOE Policy 3220.

The Tutor will work in various grant funded programs to provide enrichment and tutoring activities related to specific subject matter in an extended year setting.
The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed drugs while in the workplace.
Alcohol and controlled substance which affects employee productivity, safety or judgment in the workplace will not be tolerated.

The duties of this job require the employee to drive to and from various schools throughout Nicholas County. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff members.
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Most commonly, the educational setting is indoors with outdoor settings for recess and filed trip activities. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate (20-60 dB).
Exceptions include gymnasiums as well as vocational/technical laboratories where the noise levels may be moderate to loud (60-90 dB).
