Fayetteville State University’s Office of College Access Programs seeks an Assistant Director to oversee the GEAR UP program and design comprehensive educational experiences for middle and high school students. This role collaborates with secondary schools to enhance college readiness and provides targeted academic support sessions.

The position is time-limited, funded by non-state funds, and continuation depends on funds.

Formación

Master’s degree required in education, counseling, sociology, psychology, social work, public administration, business administration, communications, mathematics, science, or related field.
Five years of progressively responsible experience in educational program administration, college access, academic support, or related area.
Experience developing or coordinating academic support or college preparation services for middle/high school students.
Experience administering grant-funded activities including budget monitoring and performance reporting; coordinating services with schools, families, or community partners; supervising staff.

Responsabilidades

Assist the director in overseeing the GEAR UP program and designing educational experiences for middle and high school students.
Collaborate with secondary schools to improve academic preparation and provide academic support sessions for post-secondary readiness.
Supervise staff and coordinate grant-funded activities, budgets, and reporting.
