Job summary

Fort Wayne Community Schools seeks a Gear Up Coordinator of Student & Family Engagement to lead and support college and career readiness initiatives for students and families. This grant-funded role focuses on engagement, planning, and collaboration across schools to promote postsecondary pathways and financial aid awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or preferred.
• Three years’ experience with students or families in educational, social service, or related setting preferred.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee GEAR UP student and family engagement initiatives across participating schools.
• Plan and coordinate student workshops, activities, college visits, and career exploration experiences.
• Collaborate with GEAR UP Supervisor, counselors, and district staff to implement programming.
• Work with district departments to align programming with grant requirements and district priorities.
• Maintain records of participation, engagement data, and program outcomes; assist with reports.
