Job summary

Goldendale High School in Goldendale, WA is seeking a Gear Up After School Math Tutor to support 9th and 10th grade students in strengthening math skills and keeping on track with required coursework. The role is part-time and aligns with the GEAR UP program.

Job Description

Reports To: Building Principal

Purpose: Provide targeted math support to 9th and 10th grade GEAR UP students to strengthen math skills, improve academic performance, and help students remain on track with required coursework and credits

Qualifications:

• Certified teacher.
• Experience teaching math.
• Ability to work with students.
• Willingness to continue education as opportunities provided through the school.
• Ability to keep accurate records and daily student contact.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be patient, compassionate, and persistent.
• Fingerprinting and background check required.

Performance Responsibilities:

• Salary: Curriculum Rate
• Hours: 5 hours per week; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 3-4pm, & Wednesday 2-3pm
• Evaluation: Annually
