Job summary

Goldendale High School in Goldendale, WA is seeking a Gear Up After School Math Tutor to support 9th and 10th grade students in strengthening math skills and keeping on track with required coursework. The role is part-time and aligns with the GEAR UP program.

Reports to the Building Principal, requires a certified teacher and math teaching experience. Fingerprinting and background check are required; immediate start date. Salary is based on curriculum rate and district pay schedules.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with certification.

Responsibilities

• Support students in successful engagement.
• Provide individual and small-group math tutoring and academic support.
• Reinforce classroom instruction and assist with assignments and skill development.
• Coordinate with teachers and staff to identify students needing extra math support.
• Communicate with students, parents and staff in school settings.
• Supervise students in the classroom.
• Collect data and report student progress.
• Maintain data collection records.
• Provide positive behavior management support.
• Adapt teaching methods to achieve student goals.
• Participate as a member of the education team.
• Other duties as assigned.
