Job summary

GE Vernova International LLC offers a co-op/intern opportunity in the Systems Architecture team in the United States. You will contribute to applying Generative AI in product management, automation solutions, and services productivity initiatives.

You will assist in developing AI-driven tools, collaborate with cross-functional teams, support training of Generative AI tools, and help document handover to services teams while gaining hands-on experience in power generation technologies.

• Technical Research & Prototyping: assist the engineering team in subcomponent selection and lab demonstrations to validate automation initiatives.
• Data Gathering & Computer Vision: drive collection of visual data from site visits.
• Documentation & Operational Enablement: create training materials and handover docs for services teams.
• Work with the services team to drive productivity initiatives for planned inspections and upgrades.

What impact you’ll make

As a student withing the Systems Architecture team, you will be an active contributor to the application of Generative AI in product management, the execution of automation solutions and other services productivity initiatives.

What you’ll do (Job Responsibilities)

• Assist in developing AI-driven tools to improve and augment key business functions in engineering and product management.
• Engage with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Services, manufacturing and digital technology, to integrate new methodologies.
• Support the training and adoption of Generative AI tools within the organization.
• Technical Research & Prototyping: Assist the engineering team in subcomponent selection, hardware research, and lab-based prototype demonstrations to validate automation initiatives.
• Data Gathering & Computer Vision: Drive collection of visual data from site visits.
• Documentation & Operational Enablement: Help bridge the gap between development and field operations by assisting in the creation of training materials, and documentation required for handover to the services teams.
• Work with the services team to drive productivity initiatives for planned inspections and upgrades.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Computer Science Engineering.
• Demonstrated basic knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Eligibility Requirements

Ability to work on-site as required by the business; must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

The pay range for this position is $1,000-$2,000 USD weekly. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

• Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. • Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help offset living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
