Job summary

Photon seeks a seasoned Senior GCP Platform Engineer to own and evolve our cloud platform on Google Cloud. You will design, build, and manage GKE infrastructure, implement Terraform-based provisioning, and develop monitoring to keep the system robust and scalable.

Collaboration with developers, operations, and security teams is essential. You will mentor junior engineers, optimize costs, and stay current with GCP and Kubernetes offerings to ensure best-practice security and efficiency across the

Qualifications

6+ years in DevOps with at least 2 years on GCP.
Experience designing and maintaining large-scale GCP infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/GKE).
Proficient in scripting (Bash, Python, Go).
Terraform for infrastructure as code.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and manage GKE infrastructure (compute, storage, networking, containerization).
Implement IaC using Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration.
Develop monitoring and alerting using GCP tools to troubleshoot platform issues.
Ensure platform is highly available, scalable, secure, and compliant.
Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing.
