TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform Engineer for a contract role in Marshall, MI. This onsite position requires presence four days per week and offers hybrid work expectations in a dynamic cloud environment.

You will design GCP networking, manage CI/CD pipelines, and implement IaC using Terraform, while collaborating with operations to ensure secure, scalable deployments across cloud and on-prem environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in cloud engineering and DevOps.
• Proficiency with GCP and Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

Job Description- Google Cloud Platform Engineer (W2 ONLY):

MUST already reside in Michigan as this is onsite 4x a week in Marshall

We are looking for an experienced GCP Cloud engineer with strong technical expertise in GCP, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud platforms, along with excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• GCP Networking-VPC design and deployment


• CI/CD Pipeline Management: Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.


• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and manage infrastructure using code, for cloud and On-Prem environments.


• Cloud Infrastructure: Manage and optimize virtual machines, networks, and other cloud services, including provisioning, scaling, and security in Azure or GCP.


• Automation: Identify and automate repetitive tasks in the software deployment process.


• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance, identify and resolve issues, performing root cause analysis.


• Security: Ensure system security and compliance with relevant regulations.


• Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and optimize software performance.


• Collaborate with operations, and other teams to ensure smooth software delivery.

Skills Required:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in:


• Programming/Scripting: Proficiency in languages like Python, Bash or PowerShell


• Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud providers like GCP and Azure.


• Containerization and Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.


• CI/CD Tools: Experience with tools like GitHub Actions.


• Infrastructure provisioning tools (IaC) like Terraform


• Configuration Management: Familiarity with tools like Red Hat Ansible


• Operating Systems: Understanding of Linux and Windows server administration.


• Networking: Basic understanding of networking concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Red Hat OpenShift platform for K8s and VMs

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $65.00/hr.
