Data Engineer - GCP Cloud Engineer

Centiro’s Software Developers create next-generation technologies for our Supply Chain Network Cloud, vital in digital trade and e-commerce. As a Data Engineer in our platform team, your daily work will involve developing our internal data science and machine learning platform based on Google Cloud Platform.

You will collaborate with Software Developers and Application Specialists. Our teams consist of individuals with diverse skills who handle the complete project lifecycle, from analysis and design to development, testing, and integration.

Your responsibilities include working with the Data Science team to understand and operationalize scalable, resilient data pipelines, and collaborating on improving data architecture, quality, monitoring, and processing schemes. You will develop and support our GCP-based platform to enable data science initiatives in logistics and transport management. Additionally, you will stay updated on advancements in big data and cloud technologies to enhance our data architectures supporting supply chain solutions. Supporting big data and AI solutions to meet organizational needs and integrating them into production workflows is also part of your role.

You should be an expert in Google Cloud Platform and serve as the GCP Subject Matter Expert. You are a team player who values cooperation and mutual support. You thrive on continuous improvement and seeing things from new perspectives.

MUST HAVES

• 5+ years of experience
• Hands-on experience with GCP and a strong understanding of its capabilities and limitations
• Good understanding of Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Projects, Networks
• Practical experience with Google Kubernetes Engine
• Hands-on experience automating infrastructure on Google Cloud using Terraform
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging
• Experience managing Identity and Access Management
• Knowledge of GCP services like Compute Engine
• Knowledge of Storage and Database Services
• Experience with GCP managed services such as BigQuery and Dataflow
• Experience setting up and configuring cloud environments in Google Cloud
• Experience deploying machine learning solutions to production
• MLOps and software engineering skills for machine learning are a plus
