Job summary

Quantum Technologies. LLC is seeking an experienced GCP Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.

The role requires hands-on work with IaC, containers, automation, monitoring, and security to support scalable applications. You will manage Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, VPC, IAM, and Load Balancing, plus deploy containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on scripting with Python, Bash or Shell in cloud environments.
• Experience designing scalable GCP architectures and deploying IaC with Terraform.
• Familiarity with containerized apps using Docker and Kubernetes in production.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable GCP infrastructure.
• Manage GCP services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, VPC, IAM, Load Balancing).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor and optimize cloud performance and costs.
• Collaborate with DevOps and security teams; maintain docs.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced GCP Cloud Engineer to design, implement, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with cloud services, infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, monitoring, security, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.
• Manage GCP services such as Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, VPC, IAM, and Cloud Load Balancing.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Configure networking components, including VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, VPNs, and load balancers.
• Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, service accounts, encryption, and access controls.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure and application performance using Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, deployment, and performance-related issues.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization and reduce infrastructure costs.
• Manage backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity solutions.
• Collaborate with DevOps, development, security, and operations teams to support application deployments.
• Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
