Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) is seeking a Laboratory Technician I to support GC and GCMS departments. Responsibilities include sample prep, loading, instrument upkeep, and quality control in a safety-conscious lab.

The role runs Monday–Friday, 11:00am–8:00pm with overtime possible. Beneficial runtime experience includes attention to detail, following SOPs, and good teamwork in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Coursework or experience in chemistry, environmental science, biology, or a related field preferred.
• Prior laboratory experience is helpful but not required.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Professional proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory extracts and samples for GC/GCMS analysis, including dilutions and addition of standards.
• Load samples onto analytical instruments and support routine analytical operations.
• Assist with preventive maintenance of GC and GCMS instrumentation.
• Maintain communication with supervisor and team about status and issues.
• Document sample preparation details and observations.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the lab.
• Wash and maintain glassware, equipment, and supplies.
• Perform quality control activities and log documentation.
• Monitor inventory of standards, consumables, and supplies.
• Support safety programs and routine safety inspections.
• Collaborate to meet turnaround times and project priorities.
