Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing is seeking a Laboratory Technician I to support GC and GCMS analytical departments, handling sample preparation, instrument loading, lab organization and QA activities. The role includes inventory management, routine maintenance support and adherence to safety standards.

Available shifts are Monday–Friday; initial training hours are 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, then transition to 6:00 AM–3:00 PM or 2:00 PM–11:00 PM with overtime as needed. Comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Chemistry, environmental science, biology or related field preferred.
• Prior laboratory experience helpful but not required.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory extracts and samples for GC/GCMS analysis following SOPs.
• Load samples onto analytical instruments and support routine operations.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and upkeep of GC and GCMS equipment.
• Maintain communication with supervisors and project managers about status and priorities.
• Document sample prep details and observations; ensure cleanliness and readiness of the lab.
• Monitor inventory of standards, consumables, and supplies; support safety programs.
