Job summary

Green Bay Dressed Beef, LLC (Acme Street) in Green Bay, WI, is seeking a dedicated Waste Water I for its beef processing facility. You will monitor WWTP processes, run tests, calibrate probes, and help maintain water quality while following all safety protocols.

The role requires flexibility to work varying shifts, complete SQF, GMPs, HACCP training, and operate in a production environment with PPE. Benefits include a comprehensive package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures and environments with PPE.
• Must be able to perform duties with or without accommodations.
• Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime and varying start times.
• Must complete training: Safety, SQF, GMPs, HACCP, SOPs, Food defense, Lock out/Tag out, Chemical.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily oiling and greasing to ensure equipment operates efficiently and effectively.
• Perform daily chemical drawdowns and jar tests to measure and monitor chemical dosage.
• Clean probes and perform daily probe calibrations to ensure they are within the acceptable pH ranges; document pH levels.
• Use water and chemicals to scrub, wash, and rinse tankers.
• Visually monitor water speed and chemical delivery to DAF; document findings every 15 minutes and adjust as needed.
• Visually inspect and check pumps for proper output.
• Oversee chemical delivery to WWTP and Sanimax; follow all safety procedures.
• Use pallet jack to change out fat combos and wash out empty combos as needed.
• Monitor incoming water pit and holding pit levels.
• Complete required paperwork (DAF log, pH log, chemical log, water quality, etc.).
• Note: duties may include related tasks as needed.

Overview

Green Bay Dressed Beef, LLC., an American Foods Group Company has opportunities for Waste Water I at our Acme Street plant in Green Bay, WI.

As Waste Water I, you will:

• Perform daily oiling and greasing to ensure equipment operates efficiently and effectively.
• Perform daily chemical drawdowns and conduct jar tests to measure and monitor parts per million (PPM) of chemical dosage.
• Clean probes and perform daily probe calibrations to ensure they are within the acceptable PH ranges; document PH levels.
• Use water and chemicals to scrub, wash, and rinse tankers.
• Visually monitor water speed and chemical delivery to Dissolved Air Flotation Device (DAF), document findings every 15 minutes; troubleshoot and make chemistry, flow, and air adjustments as necessary.
• Visually inspect and check pumps for proper output.
• Oversee chemical delivery to Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) and Sanimax; ensure all safety procedures are followed.
• Use pallet jack to change out fat combos and wash out empty combos (as needed).
• Monitor incoming water pit and holding pit levels.
• Complete required paperwork (DAF log, PH log, chemical log, water quality, etc.)

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Must be able to perform the job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.

• Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime. Must be able to work overtime as required. Start times and hours vary based on production needs.
• Must be able to successfully complete training:
  • Safety.
  • Safe Quality Food (SQF).
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP).
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Food defense.
  • Lock out/Tag out.
  • Chemical.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior quality assurance experience in a USDA inspected beef, pork, or poultry facility.
• Prior production experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Work history in the last 12 months.
