Job summary

Centurum in Norfolk, VA seeks a seasoned RF communications engineer for global broadcast service (GBS) sustainment and modernization support. You will work onsite, perform technical sustainment, testing, and field changes, and coordinate with Navy personnel.

The role requires an Associate degree with 5+ years of hands-on RF experience in GBS or shipboard systems, strong problem-solving, and clear technical communication in English.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical or scientific field; electronics training or related college degree.
• Minimum of five years hands-on RF communication systems experience in Navy GBS or shipboard systems; sustainment engineering functions.

Responsibilities

• Perform Technical Sustainment Support (TSS), Sustainment Engineering (SE), Modernization Support (MS), Logistic Support (LS) and other SATCOM support for GBS systems.
• Provide GBS POR activities: SOVT, PICO, engineering/field changes, CASREP analysis, TFBR, and engineering/technical reviews.
• Provide CONUS/OCONUS on-site technical visits to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues; test and verify full system functionality; replace failed components; conduct NEOF testing where needed.
• Assist with Pre-Installation Check Out (PICO) prior to installation.
• Provide on-site software installation and system turnover activities: production/testing, staging, shipping, installation, and System Operational Verification Testing (SOVT); training and cutover.
• Provide task status updates to senior Navy personnel and generate technical instructions, procedures, schematics, and related documentation.
