Job summary

SpaceX in Bastrop, TX, is looking for talented technicians to support Starlink Gateway production. You will assemble, test, and calibrate high‑precision gateway components, read engineering drawings, and participate in cross‑functional manufacturing improvements.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years hands‑on technical experience or an associate STEM degree, plus IPC/J‑STD certification is a plus. Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and OT is required in a fast‑paced production environment.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent or an associate degree in STEM.
• 1+ years hands-on technical experience or related associate degree.
• IPC and/or J-STD certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute startup and shutdown procedures for production equipment.
• Build and test mechanical/electrical gateway components and wire harnesses.
• Own mechanical/electrical subassemblies and integration of final vehicle assemblies.
• Read, interpret, and follow manufacturing work instructions.
• Run functional testing of built hardware, including setup, instrumentation, test execution, and teardown.
• Perform test setups to support developments across test regimes (thermal, shock, vibration).
• Provide feedback on failure modes and support engineering to drive root cause of yield limiters.
• Recommend improvements to manufacturing processes to reduce cost and downtime and increase yield.
• Ensure production equipment is maintained and calibrated with calibration schedules.
• Responsible for preventative maintenance on test equipment and data acquisition systems.
• Ensure 5S standards in the work area.
• Manage schedule priorities to meet company deliverables.
