Job summary

URBN is seeking a friendly, attentive server to provide an exceptional dining experience for guests. You will uphold service standards and work with the team to ensure smooth operations.

You will greet guests, describe specials, pair beverages, take orders, deliver meals, clear tables, and handle payments. Candidates should have restaurant experience and a professional demeanor.

This on-site role in Philadelphia offers full-time hours with benefits and opportunities to grow within URBN.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests.
• Inform guests of specials and menu changes.
• Make recommendations and beverage pairings.
• Answer questions about the menu including origins and preparation.
• Answer questions about beverages and their aromas and flavors.
• Answer questions about restaurant functions and services across our brands.
• Take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS.
• Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely manner.
• Clear and reset settings between courses.
• Perform side work before, during and after each shift.
• Maintain clean service areas.
• Monitor and ensure guest satisfaction and respond to requests.
• Prepare final bill and process payments (credit cards or cash).
• Assist fellow staff as needed to ensure smooth operation.
• Thank guests and invite them to return.
• Be available to fill in as needed to support management.

Role Summary

Provide friendly and responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all guests. Uphold and improve upon all service standards of Menus and Venues Food & Beverage

Role Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests
• Inform guests of specials and menu changes
• Make recommendations and suggest appropriate beverage pairings
• Answer questions regarding the menu including regions where foods come from, how dishes are prepared describing in detail tastes and textures
• Answer questions regarding beverage lists, where wines and beers are produced and their aromas & flavors
• Answer questions about our restaurant functions and services and that of all the restaurants in our company
• Take food and beverage orders from guests and accurately enter them into POS system
• Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter
• Clear and replace settings between each course
• Perform side work before, during and at the end of each shift
• Maintain clean service areas
• Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
• Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable)
• Be ready and willing to assist fellow service staff members
• Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager
