Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Exceptional customer service skills are absolutely required.
• Minimum 1 year of security experience preferred.
• Comfortable operating access control systems and gate operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with reliable transportation.
• Dependable, reliable, and committed to ethical conduct and professional uniform presentation.
• Pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen required.

Job Overview

Prosegur Security is seeking a professional and customer service–focused Gate Security Officer for a premier corporate client site in San Jose, CA. Stationed at a modern, fully equipped guard house, this position focuses exclusively on gate access control and vehicle verification.

Primary Duty

Visually verify employee badges for all incoming vehicles. For non employees (vendors, visitors, contractors), collect and record identification details (driver's license/ID), license plate numbers, company names, and destinations. All PPE, including safety vests and site training, is provided. Seating is allowed, but officers must stand and step completely outside the guard house to verify drivers as vehicles approach.

Guard House Amenities

Equipped with electricity, heating, air conditioning, a landline phone, and a drinking water cooler for comfort.

Friday – Tuesday (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
