Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and open the gate for daily operations.
• Speak with drivers to gather data and help navigate security process.
• Verify and log all outside carriers for compliance.
• Secure premises by patrolling and inspecting facilities and access points.
• Report suspicious activity and safety concerns to prevent losses.
• Complete reports by recording observations and surveillance activities.
• Respond to emergencies and provide necessary assistance.
• Follow procedures for accident reporting and comply with regulations.
• Maintain knowledge of all facilities and perform other duties as assigned.

Description

This position ensures that assets are protected relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues. This position creates accurate logs of gate transactions and routinely monitors sites to identify unusual o

r suspicious activity. Protective and enforcement functions are conducted courteously and restrainedly when dealing with emergencies, unwanted conduct, disturbances, and threats to life and property. Maintains a safe, secure environment for guests, visitors, and team members.

The following is a list of the essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

• Greets visitors and opens the gate for daily operations.
• Speaks with drivers to gather data and information and help them navigate the security process to confirm authorization and access.
• Routinely interacts with both external and internal personnel.
• Verify / Log all outside carriers to ensure compliance.
• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, inspecting buildings, equipment, access points, and permitting entry.
• Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities and safety concerns and informing violators of policy and procedures.
• Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
• Maintain the organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
• Ensure the security, safety, and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises.
• Adhere to all company service and operating standards.
• Remain in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees and customers.
• Follow procedures for accident reporting.
• Report suspicious activity, criminal behavior, and security breaches.
• Maintain intimate knowledge of all facilities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

A high school qualification or equivalent.

Prior experience as a Security Guard (Preferred)

Qualification or certification in security training (Preferred)

Background in military service or law enforcement (Preferred)

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must successfully pass a background check
• Must successfully pass a drug test for all illegal substances
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required
