Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking diligent Security Officers for a home improvement store setting. You will control gate access, verify orders, and monitor the yard to deter theft and incidents, while maintaining safety and customer service standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with a valid security license and a clean driving record; prior security experience is preferred. Training provided for site-specific procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and State Security Officer License are required.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; technical training or college education in related field preferred.
• Previous experience as a security officer is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend gate and provide access control for customers entering/exiting the back lot.
• Check accuracy of orders as customers leave the facility.
• Thoroughly examine vehicles entering the premises and note items.
• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or rule violations.
• Walk the yard twice per shift and report suspicious activities or acts.
• Address persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts and request emergency personnel if needed.
