Per Mar Security Services is seeking entry-level and experienced security officers to join our team in Red Wing, MN. The role emphasizes loss prevention over traditional guarding duties, such as checking vehicles in a lumber yard and ensuring product integrity at exit.

This position offers a daytime shift pattern on Tue–Fri with a starting pay of $19.00 per hour. Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED, familiarity with security equipment, and the ability to handle physical

• Address persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
• Report any facility issues.
• Request emergency personnel for high risk situations.

Responsibilities:

More of a loss prevention job than a security job. We check vehicles in and give directions as to where their product is in the lumber yard. When they come to exit, we check to make sure that the product that they purchased is in fact the product that they have in their vehicle or trailer.

Loss Prevention | Checking orders and counting purchased productComputers | Hand held computers used, must have good understanding of computersProduct Knowledge | Generally, good knowledge of the building industry and construction is required.Walking | Can be very busy in the summer months, a lot of walking required on Concrete is required.Communication | A lot of interaction with the public, must be able to communicate well
