Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking gate Security Officers for a home improvement store setting in the Midwest. You will manage access, inspect arriving vehicles, and monitor the premises to deter theft and ensure safety.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, State Security Officer License, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently. Prior security experience is preferred; training is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• State Security Officer License.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Technical training or college education in related field (preferred).
• Previous security officer experience (preferred).
• Integrity, communication, excellent service and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Attend gate and provide access control for customers entering/exiting the back lot.
• Check accuracy of orders picked up by customers as they leave.
• Thoroughly examine vehicles entering the premises and note items observed.
• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence or rule infractions.
• Walk the yard twice per shift and report any suspicious or criminal activity.
• Address persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.
