Quality Depot Solutions in Channelview, TX is seeking a Gate Inspector to join our team. You will inspect every tank leaving the facility for defects, damages, placards, and ensure correct tanks depart for transport.
Responsibilities include reviewing tanks on arrival and departure, recording defects for liability, and performing walk-around inspections prior to delivery. This role emphasizes attention to detail and safe transport practices in an outdoor depot environment.

The Gate Inspector will inspect each and every tank that leaves the facility for defects, damages, placards, and making sure the correct tank is leaving the facility.
Checking tanks as they are transported into and out of the facility to ensure that all defects and damages are noted for liability purposes.
Ensure that the correct tanks are leaving the facility for transport, and to serve as a last quality control check prior to transport to the customer.
Conduct walk-around inspections of tanks as they leave the facility to determine any defects or damages before the tank is delivered to the customer.
Compares the tank numbers on customer work orders to the actual tank numbers to ensure that the correct tank is being delivered.
Acts as the last step in the quality control process and will handle other duties as assigned.

The employee will regularly and repetitively be required to talk, hear, sit, type, reach and grasp.
This position may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping or crouching. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds. Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment in all conditions.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
