Job summary

Quality Depot Solutions (QDS) is seeking an Equipment Control Clerk to manage container and tank inventory at our Channelview facility. You will coordinate receiving and releasing equipment, verify readiness for customer releases, and maintain accurate records.

This full-time role requires 2+ years in office administration, experience in trucking/intermodal transport, and proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office. Mon–Fri, 8:00–5:00, in a depot environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years Google Suite experience required.
• 3 years Microsoft Office experience required.
• Experience in an office administrative role preferred.
• Experience in trucking and/or intermodal transportation preferred.
• Strong organizational skills essential.
• Good verbal and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Receive and release equipment from the container and tank inventory per customer needs.
• Inspect on-site containers and tanks to ensure readiness for release to customers.
• Maintain inventory updates for equipment, containers, and tanks.
• Enter accurate release information into the facility's software system.
• Provide release information on containers still pending completion.
• Perform administrative tasks such as filing, emailing, faxing, and copying.

The Equipment Control Clerk will be responsible for the customer needs pertaining to their container and tank inventory.

Essential Functions:

• Receiving and releasing equipment from the container and tank inventory per customer needs
• Inspect on-site containers and tanks to make sure they are 100% ready for release to customers
• Maintain inventory updates regarding equipment, containers, and tanks
• Enter accurate release information into facility’s software/computer system
• Provide accurate release information on all containers that are still pending completion
• Administrative tasks as assigned such as maintaining files, copying, emailing, faxing, etc.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience working in an office administrative role
• Experience in the trucking and/or intermodal transportation industry
• 2 years Google Suite Experience
• Strong organizational skills
• 3 years Microsoft Office experience
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills

Supervisory Responsibility:

• None

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, and days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. These hours are subject to change as business needs.

Travel: Travel for training as required

Work Environment: This job operates in a depot and outside environment. Weather conditions may vary. This role routinely uses standard office and computer equipment.

The employee will regularly and repetitively be required to talk, hear, sit, type, reach and grasp.

This position may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping or crouching. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment in all conditions.
