Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Gate Attendant/Scale Operator at our Edwardsville site to accurately monitor and record waste volumes and collect appropriate fees from customers. You will determine waste content for billing, handle payments, and balance daily receipts.

Responsibilities include accepting or rejecting loads, documenting entries with scales and computer systems, and coordinating with operations on special waste.

Qualifications

• Experience handling cash and balancing cash/receipts.
• Experience using computers and various software programs.

Responsibilities

• Determine content of waste entering facility to properly bill the customer.
• Accept or reject waste loads and suggest alternatives based on waste type and local market training.
• Receive payment from customers and provide receipts.
• Balance daily receipts and deposit into the safe depository.
• Document waste entering the facility using scales and computer systems.
