Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Physician Assistant – Gastrointestinal to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. The position is full-time in the Physician Assistant department, located at 1400 Pelham Parkway South, Bronx, NY 10461.

Qualifications

• Current New York State registration as a Physician Assistant.
• Current certification issued by the NCCPA.
• NRP and PALS training/certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a unit that performs over 4,000 procedures annually.
• Perform and document complete histories and physical examinations, ordering of tests, and reviewing results.
• Make referrals as necessary.
• Document findings in the electronic medical record.
• Consult with supervising medical provider when appropriate.
• Counsel patients and families regarding care.
