Job summary

The Department of Pathology at UC San Diego Health is seeking Gastrointestinal and Hepatobiliary Pathologists to join its Division of Anatomic Pathology.

The successful candidates will have clinical responsibilities for specimens across transplant and cancer programs, engage in translational research with GI/liver teams, and teach medical students, residents, visiting scholars, and fellows. Appointments at Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on background and experience.

Qualifications

• MD or DO or MD/PhD in Pathology or related fields.
• California medical license or equivalent certification/permit.
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Anatomic or Anatomic/Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology.
• Fellowship in Gastrointestinal/Hepatobiliary Pathology by start of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical responsibilities for specimens across transplant, general care, and cancer programs.
• Engage in collaborative clinical and translational research with GI/liver clinical teams.
• Teach medical students, residents, visiting scholars, and fellows.

Education
