Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in Livingston, NJ, seeks a Gastro Intestinal Technician for Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center Endoscopy Room. You will assist in endoscopy procedures under RN supervision, ensure disinfection of scopes, and prepare sterilization accessories.

A typical day includes assisting MD/RN in EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, and other procedures, maintaining supplies, and logging processed scopes. High school diploma and GI Lab orientation required; 11am-7pm, Mon-Fri; $30–$35/hr.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful orientation in GI Lab.

Responsibilities

• Assist MD and RN in endoscopy procedures (EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, PEG).
• Disinfect and process endoscopes and accessories.
• Prepare accessories for sterilization and manage scope repairs.
• Maintain daily logs for processed scopes and unit cleanliness.
• Monitor supplies, restock and ensure equipment readiness.
