Job summary

Gastrointestinal Medical Associates (GMA), powered by GI Alliance, seeks a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our physician-led GI network. You will provide patient services in hospital and clinic settings, conduct histories and physicals, and support credentialing and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as NP or PA in Rhode Island.
• Gastrointestinal experience preferred.
• Provide scheduled patient services under the supervision of a physician.
• Flexible schedule as needed by operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide scheduled patient services under the direct supervision and responsibility of a physician in both a hospital and clinic setting.
• Complete patient histories and physicals.
• Determine tentative diagnosis and order appropriate laboratory tests.
• Counsel patient and family on health and disease.
• Participate in continuing education and credentialing requirements at assigned facilities.
• Work flexible schedule as dictated by business needs and operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
