Job summary
Northwestern Medicine’s McHenry clinic is seeking a Triage Nurse for Gastroenterology to join our full-time days team. You will assess patients, triage GI-related needs, and coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team while ensuring safety and adherence to standards.
The role requires an Illinois RN license or eligibility, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and AHA BLS CPR certification. Preference given to candidates with at least one year of experience and a passion for
Qualifications
- Current license as a Registered Professional Nurse or eligible in the State of Illinois.
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR certification.
- One year of experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Directs patient care provided by support personnel for a specific shift.
- Communicates patient status to multidisciplinary team members.
- Communicates directly with patient and family about nursing care.
- Provides clinical interventions to meet patient needs.
- Documents the nursing process.
- Assimilates information and implements action plans for safe, quality care.
- Participates in quality improvement activities.
