Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Austin seeks an Endoscopy Technician II to work under clinical oversight, performing exams and guiding colleagues to uphold GI Lab standards.

The role involves cleaning and sterilizing equipment, assisting in sedation procedures, monitoring patient safety, and contributing to a safe healthcare environment. This position is based at the Austin campus with a variable, PRN schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
• Experience in GI lab or endoscopy a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with non-sedation procedures, ensuring patient is informed.
• Support sedation procedures with nurses and doctors; monitor vitals.
• Keep GI equipment clean and sanitized; train others for QC.
• Prepare specimen slides for lab investigations.
• Train new technicians and provide feedback.
