Job summary

SCA Health is seeking a Gastroenterology Technologist (GI Tech) to provide patient care across our network of ambulatory surgical centers. You will assist the procedure team, prepare rooms, manage supplies, and uphold aseptic and sterile techniques per best practice guidelines, under the direction of the Clinical Leader/Registered Nurse.

You will ensure proper instrument handling, participate in TIME OUT processes, and help maintain a safe, efficient procedure environment that supports

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Prior Experience as a GI Tech and/or ORT preferred.
• BLS/BCLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist procedure team with gowning, gloving and eye protection.
• Prepare procedure room for GI procedures.
• Care for supplies and equipment; assist with aseptic technique.
• Pre-clean, disinfect, and store endoscopes per guidelines.
• Process and disinfect instruments after use and return to storage.
• Assist with stocking and preparing supplies; check daily schedule.
• Participate in TIME OUT and procedure validation processes.
