Christus Health is seeking a competent nurse for per diem assignments in a clinical setting. The role involves independent practice with ongoing development of long-range goals, and delegation of tasks to other care providers to manage clinical situations.

Responsibilities include nursing process execution, patient education, and documentation of history and treatments. Schedule typically runs 7AM–5PM as needed, with per diem work arrangements.

Competenze

• BSN preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS certification may be required or preferred.

• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.

• Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocol; monitors side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identify issues and resources.
