Job summary

Capital Health in Pennington, NJ seeks an experienced RN for our outpatient Gastroenterology specialty practice. This full-time, day-shift role provides direct patient nursing care, assists LIP with procedures, and coordinates pre/post care and education for patients.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in nursing, NJ or PA RN licensure with a plan to obtain a second state license within 3 months, and at least 1 year of outpatient or acute care experience, plus BLS and strong computer

Qualifications

• Associate degree or graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN preferred; NJ or PA RN license required.
• Must obtain second out-of-state RN license within three months.
• One year experience in acute, urgent care or outpatient setting.
• AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and treatment modalities for ambulatory patients.
• Assist physicians with procedures, remove sutures, clean wounds, apply dressings.
• Educate patients and document education and understanding.
• Triages calls and schedules tests per protocol.
• Administer medications and injections per protocol.
• Document and monitor patient records and labs.
• Maintain safety, quality assurance and sterilization standards.
• May participate in research studies and other Capital Health practices.
