Job summary

Avera Gastroenterology Sioux Falls is seeking a licensed physician to provide and manage direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for patients within gastroenterology. The role emphasizes teamwork and adherence to approved protocols.

You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, maintain patient records, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, high-quality care. On-site work with regular hours and on-call expectations.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients according to medical staff approved protocol and acceptable standards of practice.
• Provides medical services and health education to patients and family members.
• Performs necessary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Interprets information gathered during the diagnostic process and formulates appropriate plan of care.
• Maintains patient records and accurate information.
