The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a Gastroenterology Physician for the CU GI Community Practice Group in Longmont, CO. The role encompasses outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations, endoscopic procedures, and nights/weekends call coverage.

The position supports care across GERD, dysphagia, IBS/IBD, and inflammatory liver diseases, with a focus on excellent patient service and collaborative practice in a community-based academic setting.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO required with GI board certification or eligibility.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine and GI is required or eligible.
  • Active Colorado medical license and DEA registration are required.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (Epic) is preferred.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications are expected.

Responsibilities

  • Outpatient clinic and inpatient GI consultations, with endoscopic procedures.
  • Provide night and weekend call coverage as part of rotation.
  • Diagnose and manage GERD, dysphagia, IBS, IBD, and liver-related conditions.
  • Perform routine endoscopic procedures and interpret GI diagnostics.
  • Engage in team communication and patient-centered care.

Job Summary:

As an important member of the GI community practice team, theGastroenterologist will have clinical responsibilities includingoutpatient clinic and inpatient hospital consultations, endoscopicprocedures, and nights/weekends call coverage.

The gastroenterologist will primarily see outpatients at theUCHealth Longs Peak Hospital and Longmont GI clinic 5 days per week(3 half-days outpatient clinic, 5 half-days outpatient endoscopy).Additionally, they will provide inpatient GI consultative servicesand nights/weekends call coverage at Longs Peak Hospital up to 8weeks per year in rotation with other members of the Longmont CU GIcommunity practice group.

The successful applicant for this position will be someone whocommunicates appropriately and effectively with patients, staff,consultants, and colleagues, has outstanding customer serviceskills, and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationshipsthat are equally respectful to all.

Base Salary:

  • Instructor: $300,000-350,000
  • Senior Instructor: $300,000-350,000
  • Assistant Professor: $300,000- $350,000
  • Associate Professor: $350,000- $375,000
  • Professor: $375,000- $425,000

Total Compensation (base + variable): $500,000 to$600,000

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents theUniversity's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range ofpossible compensation at the time of posting. This position is noteligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
