University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks a Gastroenterology Physician for the CU GI Community Practice Group in Longmont, CO. Will provide outpatient clinics, inpatient consults, and endoscopic procedures with weekend call responsibilities.

Position supports an academic track (Instructor–Professor) with potential for leadership across the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology within the Department of Medicine. Onsite Longmont facility, with collaborative community practice.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine
  • Board certification or active board eligibility in Gastroenterology
  • Must have, or be eligible to obtain, an active State of Colorado medical license
  • Must have an active DEA license on or before hire date
  • Therapeutic Endoscopy training (ERCP, EUS) - All ranks
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records, such as Epic
  • ACLS and BLS certification

Job Summary

As an important member of the GI community practice team, the Gastroenterologist will have clinical responsibilities including outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital consultations, endoscopic procedures, and nights/weekends call coverage.

The gastroenterologist will primarily see outpatients at the UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital and Longmont GI clinic 5 days per week (3 half-days outpatient clinic, 5 half-days outpatient endoscopy). Additionally, they will provide inpatient GI consultative services and nights/weekends call coverage at Longs Peak Hospital up to 8 weeks per year in rotation with other members of the Longmont CU GI community practice group.

The successful applicant for this position will be someone who communicates appropriately and effectively with patients, staff, consultants, and colleagues, has outstanding customer service skills, and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
